The LORD God revealed Himself to Moses.  He revealed Himself as being present and as being holy.

God’s Presence
A burning bush which was not burning into ashes – got the attention of Moses.  Then the LORD God spoke from within that burning bush to him.

God’s Holiness
(NASB) Exodus 3:5 “Then He said, ‘Do not come near here; remove you sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’”

God is Unchanging
(NASB) Exodus 3:6 “He said also, ‘I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob…’”

As God was in the past, the far distant past, He is the same God today!  He does not change to suit the present desire of those who worship Him.

God has not “evolved” – He is unchanging, His word is unchanging.  He is worthy of our trust.

This unchanging God is faithful to His promises, all of them.

This unchanging God is living, He is not dead.

God’s Presence
(NASB) Exodus 3:6 “… Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.”

Moses recognized his unworthiness in the presence of the living, unchanging God, do you?

Moses had real reverential fear in the presence of the holy God, do you?

God alone is worthy to be worshiped – by you.

~ Take it to heart ~

How is God revealing Himself to you?

God’s presence – is He present in your life?
God’s holiness – are you acutely aware of God?

Do you know, for yourself, that the living God is unchanging?
Do you know, for yourself, that the living God is faithful in keeping His words to you?
