What causes you to cry out to the living God?

Where do you turn when you are driven to cry out for help?

God, the living God, hears the prayers of desperation, of all those who cry out to Him.

The Hebrew slaves in Egypt were in bondage.  Slavery!  They were forced to do hard labor for the Pharaoh in power.  Cities and tombs were built by slave labor, Hebrew slave labor.

There came a time when the slaves cried out to the living God for help.  Why?  They cried out for help because of their bondage, their enslavement.  And their cry rose up to God.  He heard their cries!  (Exodus 2:23-24)

Bondage – slavery – no freedom – enslavement.

Today, there are slaves.  Slaves are money-makers for their masters.  What do these slaves do?  There are sex slaves and slaves working in the fields.  All are earning money for their “owners.”

For what do you cry out to God?  To what are you in bondage, to what are you a slave?  What masters you?

God hears desperate cries to Him.

~ Take it to heart ~

You can use the following Scripture as your prayer ~ for yourself and/or for others you know.

(NASB) Psalm 61:1-4
“HEAR MY cry, O God;
Give heed to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever;
Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.”
