All Christendom is thinking of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ this day, Good Friday.

It is a sobering reminder of what He did for us when He died on the cross.

We are to remember His last words of victory!
(NASB) John 19:30 “… ‘It is finished!’…”

What was “finished?”  His work was finished.  His dying as a sacrifice for my sins and yours was the work He was born to do.

(NASB) Matthew 1:21 “… and you will call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.’”

If you are reading this on Saturday, what Jesus said on the cross is still true!  “It is finished!”

If you are reading this devotional on Sunday, what Jesus said on the cross is still true!  “It is finished!”

Not only did Jesus complete His work of salvation, God the Father accepted His sacrifice on the cross.  How can we know this?

Jesus was raised from the dead on resurrection Sunday!

~ Take it to heart ~

Some women went to the tomb on Sunday where Jesus was buried.  They were greeted by an angel, a messenger of God.

(NASB) Matthew 28:6 “He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
7 ‘Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead…”

“It is finished!”  Your sins are paid for!
Have you received that which Jesus paid for you?
Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior?
