To Know: from experience we have understanding
Do you know God is faithful?
Do you know God is faithful because of your past experience with Him?
Do you live as if God’s promises are true for you?
Do you know, really know, from your own experience that God is faithful and keeps His promises?
Joseph knew God’s faithfulness from personal experience. He had an understanding of God because he knew God! And so can you!
When your way is dark and there is not a light at the end of your tunnel – but yet remember: God is faithful to you.
“Listen” to what Joseph said to his brothers before he died.
(NASB) Genesis 50:25-26 “Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, ‘God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones up from here.’
26 So Joseph died at the age of one hundred and ten years; and he was embalmed and placed in a coffin in Egypt.”What Joseph knew without a shadow of doubt…
He knew God would take care of this really large family.
He knew God would take them back to the land He promised to give to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
He knew he was dying and he did not want his bones to remain in Egypt. Joseph made his family promise to take his bones to the land God promised to them in Canaan.
~ Take it to heart ~
There is only one way to have an understanding of God – there is only one way to know God is faithful to keep His promises.
What is that one way? For you to trust Him, literally, in your present circumstances today.
Then tomorrow you can say ‘I know that God is faithful to keep His promises to me, He did it for me yesterday!’
