A realistic view of death is not morbid or self-pitying or sentimental – it is a fact!

All people die.  For believers in Christ Jesus as their Savior – death is a door opening in heaven, into the very presence of Jesus!

Joseph’s realistic view of his death
(NASB) Genesis 50:24 “Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am about to die…”

Joseph’s confidence in God
(NASB) Genesis 50:24 “… ‘I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you…”

Followers of Christ Jesus – our confidence is to be in God, that He will take care of those we leave behind when we die.

Joseph’s faith in God
(NASB) Genesis 50:24 “Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.’”

Joseph’s faith was in God to keep His promises, the promise He made to Abraham (Joseph’s great grandfather), to Isaac (his grandfather) and to Jacob (his father).

Have faith in God – He keeps His promises… every one of them.

Is your view of death realistic?
In what, or who, do you have complete confidence?
Is your faith really in God?

Followers of Christ ~ we are to have a realistic view of death.

~ Take it to heart ~

Our view of death is to be realistic,
because our confidence and faith is in God!
