For the followers of Christ – death is not to be feared.  Why?

Savior!
Because sin is not an issue.  Jesus, our Savior, paid the full price for our sins as if our sins were His on the cross.

Victor!
For the followers of Christ, Satan is the enemy and he was defeated.  Utterly overcome by Jesus when He died on the cross and came to physical life three days later.  He did not stay in a tomb.

Immanuel!
For the above reasons – I fear no evil.  Can you say this prayer with me?

‘For You, LORD God Almighty, are with me in the trenches when the bullets are flying.
With the bullets of death, sin and the devil – I fear no evil, for You are with me.
You have the victory over all my fears and foes and the causes of any fears I have.’

I can say – I fear no evil.
Why?  Because You, my Shepherd Savior and my God, are with me!!
