Bedside Classroom
This devotional was written at the Bedside Classroom of my spouse as death approached.
The following is a paraphrase of Psalm 23:1-3
My Shepherd supplies my needs – The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
My Shepherd knows my need to rest in places where I am safe – He makes me lie down in green pastures
My Shepherd intentionally leads me beside quiet waters, many times in turbulent times – He leads me beside quiet waters and gives me His peace.
My Shepherd makes my mind, emotions and will…whole – He restores my soul.
My Shepherd is my Guide and He guides me to live in a right relationship with Him and to Him – He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
As I live day by day – my dependence is to be on God my Shepherd Savior. The name of Jesus is above every name. His integrity and His power protect His name… even when He is reviled, rejected, scorned and spit upon.
For the sake of His name, He leads me in paths of righteousness.
~ Take it to heart ~
The LORD is Jehovah! He is the LORD God Almighty!
He is the Shepherd!
He is the Savior!
He is my Shepherd Savior in the harsh realities of life.
