Are You Ordinary?
Jacob spoke words of prophecy to each of his twelve sons. Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah each have been covered in this devotional for the past two weeks.
Zebulun
(NASB) Genesis 49:13 “Zebulun will dwell at the seashore;
And he shall be a haven for ships,
And his flank shall be toward Sidon.”
When the children of Israel entered the Promised Land – God gave the tribe of Zebulun land close to the pagan, sea-faring Phoenicians. It was through the Phoenicians that the tribe of Zebulun provided the other tribes with needed goods.
The tribe of Zebulun were ordinary people doing ordinary work and they were necessary to the success in their greater family… the nation of Israel.
Could this be your prayer?
“O Lord, make my life a necessary part of supplying others with the knowledge of Jesus. Help me to see others needs, not only spiritual, but actual material needs also.
In the name of Jesus, who supplies all my needs, Amen.”
