Joseph and Jacob were separated many years.  And now there was about to be a reunion of father and son.

(NASB) Genesis 46:29 “Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.”

“Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel… ”

Can you imagine… Joseph’s anticipation of seeing his father after many years of enforced separation?

Can you imagine… Jacob-Israel’s anticipation of seeing his beloved and favorite son, Joseph?  For many years he believed this son to be dead.

“… as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.”

A joy-filled reunion with many pent up tears flowing down these two faces… hugging and clinging to each other a long time.

With whom do you need to reunite?  Perhaps you need to re-connect emotionally with another.

Jesus came to bring you and me into the place where we can experience a joy-filled meeting with the living God.  Can you imagine… meeting the living God, face to face!

As you celebrate New Year’s Eve – I pray that you will also celebrate a joy-filled reunion with God your Savior… His name is Jesus.

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Psalm 96:1-4 “SING TO the Lord a new song;
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
3 Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised… ”
