When the Lord God gives His tests to examine my faith – how do I react in real time circumstances?

Joseph’s brothers would be given another test, the biggest test they faced up to that time, how would they react?  That was probably what Joseph wanted to find out.

(NASB) Genesis 44:1-2 “Then he (Joseph) commanded his house steward, saying, ‘Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack.
2 ‘Put my cup, my silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, and his money for the grain.’  And he did as Joseph had told him.”

God’s tests, in your life and mine, are for our good.  As people of faith in the living God, we are to rely on Him.  How do I react to the tests of everyday?  How do I react to tests that are filled with sorrow and perhaps fear?

In our everydays we are to trust Him in the humdrum of life.  So when the tests become harder, our thoughts should go to Him.  We need to keep trusting Him, continuing on – one step at a time.  Sometimes that is the only way we get through the day… one step at a time.

Joseph’s plan was well thought out and put into action to test the reaction of his brothers.  Had they changed?  Was their faith firmly placed in God?

Joseph’s servant was obedient to the instructions given him.

The plan and the servant’s obedience in carrying out Joseph’s instructions were crucial in finding out how the brothers would react.

The Lord God’s plans are well thought out. As followers of Christ we are to obey His instructions – doing what He says to do, when He tells us to do it.  That is obedience.  That is how we are to react.
