Joseph was imprisoned in Egypt.  He was sold as a slave by his brothers, unjustly accused by his master’s wife of sexual advancements and then imprisoned because of her lies.

Yet, God was with Joseph, even in that prison.
Yet, God prospered whatever Joseph was given to do.
Yet, God’s purposes for Joseph were accomplished even while he was a prisoner.

What circumstances have you imprisoned?  God’s purpose is continuing to be fulfilled for you, whether you ‘see’ it or not.

Two high ranking servants of Pharaoh were also in prison under the charge of Joseph.  One night, both had a dream; each dream different and with its own meaning.  They wanted their dreams interpreted and Joseph said “Do not interpretations belong to God?  Tell it to me, please.”  (Genesis 40:1-8)

The chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream and Joseph gave the interpretation.  In three days, the cupbearer would be restored to his position by Pharaoh – and so it happened.
(Genesis 40:9-13, 20-21)

Joseph asked the cupbearer to remember him, and do him a kindness and ask the Pharaoh to release him from prison.
(Genesis 40:14-15)

Encouraged by the good interpretation of the cupbearer’s dream, the chief baker then told Joseph his dream.  In three days, the chief baker would be hanged – and so it happened.
(Genesis 40:16-19, 22)

However, the cupbearer forgot Joseph and his request.
Joseph was forgotten by a man – but God did not forget Joseph.  Two more years passed before God’s timing would bring Joseph out of prison.  (Genesis 40:23, 41:1)

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Isaiah 55:8-9 “Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous his thoughts;
‘And let him return to the Lord,’
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
8 ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts,’
Nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.
9 ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

You are not forgotten by the living God!
