Two men, one in Pharaoh’s jail (Joseph) and one in a Roman jail (Paul) hundreds of centuries apart.

Both exhibited what they had learned to do… they learned to be content in their circumstances.

Both could say, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Consider Joseph: even imprisoned, he was diligent and conscientious in his duties.
He took seriously the job given him and he focused on other people, not himself.

He was free to be God’s man in God’s timing and in God’s choice of position and place for him.

Where has God placed you?
What attitude are you choosing as you go through your day?

Choosing to be content is a learned response.

Perhaps you feel confined, as if in a prison, with no way out of your situation.

Remember: God, the living God is trustworthy, even in your circumstances.

~ Take it to heart ~

  Can I honestly say:
(NASB) Philippians 4:11 “… for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am in.”

Contentment is a choice!

Contentment is a choice to trust God.

He is Immanuel, “God with us.”

Confined … yet learning and choosing to be content.
