Have you ever been wrongfully maligned and accused?

False, self-righteous accuser’s, are many times, skillful at manipulating circumstances and people and the apparent evidence.

Those same types of accusers have done their undermining, divisive work before – and found it to be effective.

The anguish and sorrow, when wrongfully accused, cannot be expressed or understood unless others have undergone the same kind of treatment.

Joseph was sold into Egypt as a slave by his ten older brothers.
He became a valued overseer in the house of his master Potiphar.

Potiphar’s wife wrongfully accused Joseph of attempted rape, and he experienced the pain of being wrongfully accused.

(NASB) Genesis 39:19 “Now when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, ‘This is what your slave did to me,’ his anger burned.”

Why was Potiphar angry?  Did Potiphar know his wife was lying and covering her own promiscuity?

Did Potiphar’s great disappointment over Joseph’s “supposed” conduct cause him to have his “wrath kindled?”

Joseph was imprisoned in the king’s prison.  A slave has no recourses, no ‘outs,’ and no ‘rights.’

We are told that Joseph’s feet were bruised with iron shackles and his neck “put in irons.”  (Psalm 105:18)

When we are wrongfully accused – how do we respond?  Do we, like Joseph, turn to God and rely on Him even more?

God is faithful to His children, and He was faithful to Joseph… even in prison.

(NASB) Genesis 39:21 “But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him… ”

~ Take it to heart ~

If you are going through unfair treatment at the hands of others, the Lord is with you, He will not fail you or forsake you!  Do not fear or be dismayed.  (Deuteronomy 31:8)

The Lord promises that He will go ahead of you – today.

He promises that He will be with you – today.

He will not fail you or forsake you – today.  Do not fear or be dismayed.
