What if …
Jacob had a favorite among his twelve sons, Joseph. Joseph was given a special, beautiful gift of a many colored coat. Joseph wore it everywhere, showing it off to everyone. How this must have irked his eleven brothers. (Genesis 37:3)
What if … Jacob had treated his sons equally?
What if … Joseph’s brothers had loved and forgiven each other, not holding onto bitterness and resentments? (Genesis 37:4)
What if … we choose to not “play favorites?”
What if … we choose to treat others without partiality?
What if … we choose to forgive, love and work toward unity, not division?
What if … we choose to live life – God’s way?
(NIV) Colossians 3:12-17 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called in peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

What if … I live my life by putting God’s words and ways into action?
(NASB) Colossians 3:17
“Whatever you do in word or deed;
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
