God is faithful, He is merciful and His grace is not dependent on anything anyone does, thinks or says.  It is His grace – His gift to all who turn to Him… and it is for anyone.  We need to receive God’s gift that He freely offers.  If we refuse His gift of salvation, we are refusing Him.  If anyone ignores His gift or makes fun of it, we are refusing Him.

The only sin God does not forgive –
refusing His gift of salvation
through faith in His only begotten Son,
the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jacob experienced God’s faithfulness, even when he was not faithful to God; yet he did not refuse God.  You and I can experience God’s faithfulness even when we are not faithful to Him.
(Genesis 35:1)

Some of God’s characteristics are seen in the following ways:

God is compassionate toward all who turn to Him, trusting His truth found in Jesus Christ alone.

God is gracious; His gift of grace is given to all who will receive Jesus as their Savior.

He is slow to anger – He doesn’t have a “hair-trigger” temper.

He is abounding in lovingkindness.

However, He will not always hold His anger forever – there is a limit to how often we refuse Him and His ways toward us.

Today, turn to Him, receive His Son as your Savior – and God is faithful, you will be received and welcomed by Him with open arms.

(NASB) 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

~ Take it to heart ~

God’s character is patient, enduring and for you.

(NASB) Psalm 103:8
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.”
