Your circumstances, the people around you, your past and your present: the Lord God uses all this to bring you a growing awareness of who He is.

Our faith in the living God is not stagnant… if it is not growing – it is diminishing.

An example of growing faith is in the life of Jacob.  He believed in the Lord as his parents God, not One he believed in for himself.

Then the Lord used Jacob’s past and his present circumstances to bring a growing awareness of Himself.

Jacob’s circumstances became uncomfortable, attitudes of his wives family turned against him.  It was then when God spoke to Jacob.
(NASB) Genesis 31:3 “… ‘Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.’”

What are some of the things we can know about God?  He intervenes in His perfect timing… He doesn’t waste our past experiences or present circumstances to gain our attention.  He promises to be with us as we do what He says in the Holy Bible.

Our faith is to be growing in the living God – for ourselves.
Our faith is to “see” God at work in our lives.
Our faith is to know God for ourselves, not depend on our parents faith, our spouses or our friends faith.

Our faith is to know the God of the Holy Bible.  What do you know of Him at this moment?
That is the place where you are to start, right now.

(NASB) Psalm 143:10-12
“Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
11 For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me.
In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemies
And destroy all those who afflict my soul,
For I am Your servant.”

~ Take it to heart ~

My growing faith is in God alone.
God shows me Himself.
I am to be aware, alert and answer the living God ~ this moment!
Growing faith in God is an adventure ~ so go with Him!
