How is the Lord God revealing Himself to you?

For Jacob the living God revealed Himself through a dream.  Jacob left home and traveled until sundown… he found a place to spend the approaching night.  He found a stone for his head to rest on; lay down and went to sleep.  It was during the night which God revealed Himself.

(NASB) Genesis 28:12 “He had a dream… ”

(NASB) Genesis 28:13 “… ‘I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac… ’”

The living God reveals Himself in many ways.   Today the Lord God may use dreams or visions to reveal Himself.  He also uses His word and followers of Christ as His witnesses.

Jacob, it would seem, had no thought of God for himself.  Yet, God revealed Himself to this man.  He apparently had no hunger or thirst to know God; yet, God revealed Himself to him through a dream.

Whether you are a follower of Christ or not this moment, do you have a hunger or a thirst for God?

Are you crying out to know Him as He is?  He hears and answers such prayers.

Are you asking for God to reveal Himself to you?

(Amplified Bible) Psalm 42:1-2 “AS THE hart pants and longs for the water brooks,
so I pant and long for You, O God.
2 My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God.  When shall I come and behold the face of God?”
