Real Fears and God’s Protection
Isaac had to move his flocks and herds, famine was in the land. He moved his animals, his tents and his entire household to Gerar.
Isaac feared the king of Gerar; he feared that he would be killed so the king could have Rebekah as a wife. So – Isaac flat-out lied. And Rebekah, his wife went along with the deception. The king believed her to be Isaac’s sister, not his wife. So the king had Rebekah added to his harem. Genesis 26:1-11
Isaac did what his father Abraham had done in the past. Abraham had moved to Egypt, due to famine. Abraham also had a beautiful wife, Sarah. Abraham feared for his life. The Pharaoh of Egypt believed Sarah to be Abraham’s sister. Genesis 12:10-20
The Lord God protected both women and restored them to their husbands.

God’s work in your life and mine begins with Christ Jesus. He is available as our Savior and Lord. He is trustworthy; He is reliable to bring His plans for you into reality.
What is causing your anxiety, worry, fear this moment? What is causing your mind to be anxious and worry to be in control of your thoughts?
Worry and anxiety are closely associated with fear. These thoughts do not show trust in God.
How did God work in the lives of Abraham and Isaac and their fears for their lives?
(NASB) Psalm 105:8-9, 11-15 “He has remembered His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
9 The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac.
11 Saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the portion of your inheritance,’
12 When they were only a few men in number,
Very few, and strangers in it.
13 And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
14 He permitted no man to oppress them,
And He reproved kings for their sakes:
15 ‘Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.’”
