Abraham and Sarah, Ishmael and Isaac – all died.  All were buried.  As followers of Christ Jesus, we will also die and will be buried… or cremated.  (Genesis 25:1-18)

Followers of Christ have a hope, a living hope – His name is Jesus.

At the moment our hearts stop beating and we breathe no more – that moment we will be in the presence of the living Triune God.  We will experience joy beyond our imaginations.  We will live in the presence of God our Savior, forever and ever.  It is called eternity.
We are freed from death, sin and Satan.

(NIV) Psalm 68:19-20 “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
Who daily bears our burdens.      Selah
20Our God is a God who saves;
From the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.”

Do you have this hope?  Do you have hope in God as your Savior?  Is your hope in the only One who can save you?  Is your hope in the Sovereign Lord who delivers you from death?

Our eternities depend on our choices in this life.

All sins were on Jesus when He was crucified.  When we ask Jesus to be our Savior we are delivered from God’s righteous wrath.

If we ignore, pooh-pooh or reject the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior… we will face God’s judgment for our sins ourselves.  We are saying “no” to God’s provision for our sins.

(NASB) John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

All followers of Christ have hope of eternal life.
It is through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
