God’s tests are not temptations.
For God does not tempt anyone to sin.

Tests are given to find out what we know and what we don’t know.

God’s tests reveal who or what we put first in our lives.
What are you consistently doing, every day?  Is the living God included?

God’s tests reveal our faith in Him.  They show whether we respond to His commands in obedience or not.  His tests find out what we have in our hearts. What is in your heart?
(NASB) Deuteronomy 8:2 “… testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”

Abraham responded to God’s call through the years.  He had some missteps along the way, but each time he turned back in faith to God Almighty.

When the followers of Christ turn aside from following His commands, we can be forgiven and get back “on track” with Him.
(NASB) 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God’s tests reveal our love for Him.  Responding to God’s call is also a test of love.
(NASB) 1 John 4:7-10 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

God’s tests reveal our love for Him.
Our faith in Him is to continue to grow in each of our “todays.”
Now, how do you view your circumstances?

~ Take it to heart ~

As God’s tests come – I am to be patient under the various trials of life.  He is my God!

(NASB) James 1:12 “Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
