God’s promises are unexpected and beautiful…

The promise of forgiveness through God’s only Begotten Son.
Did Adam and Eve expect any promise from God after they sinned?  Probably not, but His promise of Messiah covered them and all future generations.  (Genesis 3:15)

The promise of never judging the world by water again by the sign of the rainbow.
Did Noah and his family expect God to promise them anything?  Probably not, but His promise of never again judging the corruption of the world with water is seen in the rainbow.

Followers of Christ, this prayer can be our prayer because Jesus is our Savior.

If you do not have an intimacy with Jesus Christ – if you do not know Him as your Savior and/or Redeemer – you can ask Him this moment.

Ask Him!

He accepts all who call out to Him for forgiveness.

Praise Him!

‘Father of mercies, by Your mercies I am forgiven for my sins – hear my prayer.
Genesis 3 – Adam and Eve received Your mercies after they sinned against You.  You unexpectedly promised Messiah.  You then covered them with the sacrificial skins of animals.  You showed me what You did when Your Son, Jesus, went to the cross.  He was the perfect sacrifice and when I receive Him as my Savior, His blood now covers me.  You see me through Jesus.  Thank You for your unexpected promise!

Genesis 6-9 – When You saw the corruption of the earth in the days of Noah, Your plan saved Noah and his family.  Your flood of judgment was on all the earth, yet You spared Noah through the building of an ark.
Then, then, Your unexpected promise was given – never to use waters to judge the sins of the world again.  The unexpected beautiful promise is seen whenever I see a rainbow.

Your words, Your promises, are eternal and always fulfilled.

Romans 12:1 – Father of mercies, I yield my life, my body to Your way for me – as a living and holy sacrifice.  You accept me!  You say so!  Thank You, Eternal Father.
Father of mercies, this is my prayer through the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus.    Amen!’

But the word of our God stands forever.”
