What is special to you about the living God of the Bible?  What is significant to you in your day-to-day intimacy with the Lord God?

Many times what God’s word says is to be shared with others.

Sometimes – once in a while – it is just for you.  God has something He wants you to know but to keep it confidential.  This happened to Paul.  He wrote about his experience to the Corinthian church in a letter.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 12:1-4 paraphrased.
Paul said that nothing is to be gained by boasting.

He then went on to say he knew a man about fourteen years earlier who had a spiritual experience.  He couldn’t really say if it was an actual experience or one in which God gave him a vision – “God knows.”  Whether in his actual physical body or not, he had a real experience of paradise in which he heard words which were beyond his ability to speak.  In fact, he was not to repeat what he heard.  It was for his ears alone.

How encouraging to have such an experience; an intimate, personal one-on-one in the actual presence of the living God.

In your quiet time with the Lord God of the Holy Bible, do you know that it is between Him and you?  That you are that important to Him?

God is not secretive, but He does keep confidences.

He is also the living God who is the Master Teacher.  He is the All-knowing God.  His words are given to His children – sometimes on a personal and confidential level.  God knows!

~ Take it to heart ~

My dependence should be on God alone, not on myself or others.
God knows!
I cannot boast about anything – it is all of God.
God knows my needs.
God knows how to grow my faith in Him.
God knows!
