Your history affects your future.  Your history reveals your weaknesses.  Your history also reveals your faith, or lack of faith, in the living God of the Holy Bible.

From your history – you can be encouraged by the opportunities God has given you to have greater faith in Him.

He knows your history and He still loves you.
He is still available to you today and in your future.
He is faithful and you can lean your full weight on Him (you can fully trust God).

You may have mixed emotions, mixed feelings, about your personal history as a follower of Christ.  You may feel shame or regret for how you have faced temptations in the past or how you handled various situations.

And you can also look back and know the Lord God is faithful to you.  He is the One who has grown you and is growing you to be more mature in your faith.  He has not left you.  He is with you every step of the way.

You and I need Jesus in our lives – our every day lives.

Paul wrote of this in his own life.
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 11:30-33 “If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness.
31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, He who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.
32 In Damascus the Ethnark under Aretas the king was guarding the city of the Damacenes in order to seize me,
33 and I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and so escaped his hands.”

~ Take it to heart ~

Be encouraged, Follower of Christ.

(NASB) 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

God provides for your escape from your temptation
in each of your todays.

We celebrate the Risen Christ – Sunday celebrates Easter.
Hallelujah!

Jesus made the way for us to escape temptation to sin.
Faith in Jesus – faith in the living, Risen Savior!
Hallelujah!
