Tolerance Enslaves
Pressures in today’s world demand, they do not suggest they demand, that we tolerate anything and anyone. Being politically correct is paramount to many without Christ in their lives.
“Tolerate” defined by the dictionary: 1. To allow without prohibiting or opposing; permit. 2. To recognize and respect, as the rights, opinions, or practices of others, whether agreeing with them or not.
Tolerance defined by today’s standards: accept all ideas, concepts, practices of those without Jesus Christ in their lives.
Tolerance defined by God’s word:
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 11:20 “For you tolerate it if anyone enslaves you, anyone devours you, anyone takes advantage of you, anyone exalts himself, anyone hits you in the face.”
Have you considered this?
Being tolerant today, because we are told we have to be tolerant of all others, is to have others in control of our minds, emotions and will.
Being tolerant is to be enslaved to political correctness. You become a victim of those who spout “tolerance.” To tolerate is to be deceived and taken advantage of. Tolerance is arrogance and “in your face.” (paraphrased – Amplified Bible 2 Corinthians 11:20)
Tolerance withstood using God’s word:
(NASB) 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
14 Let all that you do be done in love.”
Followers of Christ – we are to be on the alert for today’s insinuations and attacks.
We are to stand firm in our faith in Jesus Christ.
We are to act with maturity.
We are to be strong and courageous in today’s world.
We are to be growing in our knowledge and belief in God and His word.
We are to do everything in love – love for God and love for people.
We are to do everything in love because we are inspired by God’s love for us.
(paraphrase of Amplified Bible 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14)
~ Take it to heart ~
Followers of Christ – we are freed from political correctness and tolerance. Stand firm! Don’t again be enslaved by the world’s tolerance.
(NASB) Galatians 5:1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
