There are some things we should fear, of which we are to be afraid.  The deception from Satan is certainly one of those.  The serpent deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden – Genesis 3:1-19.  The Lord God dealt with the sin of Eve, Adam and Satan.  The Lord promised a Savior from sin and His name is Jesus.  (Genesis 3:15; John 3:16)

The reality today is that Satan is still deceiving and leading people away from belief in the living God of the Holy Bible.

Satan deceives; he intends to deceive; he does deceive and sadly Satan’s deceptions work!

The living God gives simple direction – His commands are clear-cut, without guess work!

Satan –                                                                God –

Crafty – subtle                                                     Open – clear-cut

Complex                                                                Simple

Convoluted                                                           Straight-forward

Leads away from God and His purity             Leads straight to God                                                                                                               and His purity

Be careful – many deceptions bombard us through TV, the Internet, Social Media, books and reading materials and people who come to our doors.

Be conscientious – read and study God’s words – His words are inerrant, infallible, eternal, reliable truth.

~ Take it to heart ~

  What God says – He means.
(NASB) Isaiah 55:6-8 “Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
8 ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.”

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”

Don’t be deceived by Satan!

Turn to God’s simplicity and purity found in Christ Jesus.
