When you are called by the living God to a specific work, ministry or job, to whom do you give credit?  To yourself, as if you could come up with a wonderful way to show others your piety?  Warning, red flag waving – don’t go there.

The credit all goes to the living God.
He calls you to do a good work.
He sustains you in doing a good work.
He empowers you to do an excellent work.
He receives all the glory, all the credit, all the praise.
God’s abundance is experienced and makes all things possible.

Upon whom are you depending for doing a good job today?  Are you dependent on your circumstances, your emotions, your mind-set, and your abilities or on other people?  As a follower of Christ Jesus – depend on God’s abundance and His ability to give you everything you need — this day.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
9 as it is written,
‘He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor,
His righteousness endures forever.’”

God is able to make all grace – His gift of grace, which you cannot earn or deserve – to abound in what you are called to do.

You will always have enough, in everything, for every good deed to which God calls you.

It is God Himself Who freely gives to us – we are poor in comparison to the riches of God.

We need what God gives us.  He is righteous in His giving and His righteousness is unending – it endures forever.

(NASB) Isaiah 55:1-2 “HO, EVERY one who thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have no money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost.
2 ‘Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.”

Receive what the living God gives – His abundance for you — this day!

Depend on, and delight in, God’s Abundance
