Tight-fisted OR Open-handed?
Do you use a “tight-fisted” approach to life or do you go through your door into the world with an open-hand?
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 9:6 “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
Warning of “not enough”:
Sow little; sow sparingly; sow with a “tight-fist.”
Will reap, gather little; gather insufficient amounts; gather bits and piecesPromise of plenty:
Sow generously; sow bountifully; sow with an “open-hand.”
Will reap, gather generous amounts; gather full measure, pressed down, overflowing; gather with armfuls of abundance.
Sowing and reaping sparingly
God gives us a warning of giving out “not enough,” with a tight-fist.
Are we listening?
Sowing and reaping abundantly
God reminds us of gathering “full measure” of abundance.
Are we listening?
~ Take it to heart ~
Am I going to continue to be “tight-fisted” when giving to others?
Will I choose, right now, to be generous with an “open-hand” when I give to others?
