(NASB) 2 Corinthians 5:1 “FOR WE know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down… ”

  My physical body is the “house” I live in.  When I die – my “house” will cease to be – it will be torn down.

Followers of Christ – God promises us that “we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”  (NASB 2 Corinthians 5:1)

When illness or accidents strike, like strokes or disabling car accidents – they are sudden and can change our bodies.

Remember: the “house” you live in, your physical body, will be torn down, it will die.

Be Encouraged: followers of Christ you have a building from God – a “house” not made with hands “eternal in the heavens.”  You have a “house” waiting for you on the other side of the door of death.

(NASB) Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?”

You have an eternal “house” waiting for you, one which will never be taken from you.

~ Take it to heart ~

I am to walk by faith, not by what I see in my circumstances.  God is preparing for me to enter His presence in eternity!

(NIV) Psalm 27:13 “I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

I am to “Wait for the Lord.”  I am to “be strong and take heart,” be courageous in my circumstances, because God is with me in them.  Truly, I am to “wait for the Lord.”
(NASB Psalm 27:14)

God has prepared for me an eternal “house.”
