When we receive Christ Jesus as our Savior, we are given His light, His life.  This gift is ours instantly, at that nano second, at that very moment of time.  This is what we have.

God’s light is given to us, within our being.  It is His majesty and glory which is shown through the witness of Jesus Christ.  This is what we are given.

When we read about the life of Christ in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John – we are shown the image and likeness of God!  (2 Corinthians 4:6)

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;”

  Our bodies are “earthen vessels.”  What a treasure all followers of Christ have within us.  We have the Light and Life of Jesus within, the Good News of Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection.  We have a great treasure within our beings.  Amazing truth of God!

Another amazing truth of God: all followers of Christ have the surpassing greatness of God’s power within us; this power is all of God.

God’s power is His alone and He gives us growing knowledge and understanding through faith in our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Amplified Bible) 1 Corinthians 2:5 “So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.”

    My faith is not to rest on my wisdom or the wisdom so prevalent among people today or the great philosophers of the past.

My faith is in the power of God Himself!
This is what I have as a follower of Christ!
