Jesus Christ ~ the Image of God
No one has the excuse of unbelief in the God of the Bible or in Jesus Christ. That is a bold statement.
Consider the following Scripture:
(NIV) Romans 1:18-20 “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”Jesus was born, lived, died and was resurrected on the third day after His death ~ all according to God’s words of prophecy in the Old Testament. Amazing God!
Jesus is – “the image of God.” Do you want to “see” God? Look at Jesus, God’s only begotten Son. Jesus came to reveal His Father to us.
(NASB) John 14:9 “… He who has seen Me has seen the Father… ”As we study/read God’s words we begin to know Jesus for ourselves. We practice the presence of the living God as we pray, as we live in our everyday world. We believe in Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
Jesus said: (NASB) John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
~ Take it to heart ~
Jesus Christ ~ the image of God Himself. This Jesus is my Savior.
He shows me the way I am to live, how I am to respond in my circumstances.
He is truth.
His life was given to me when I received Him as my Savior.
There is only one way to God the Father ~
That is through faith in Jesus the Messiah, the Christ.
