The Gospel, Veiled or Unveiled?
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:3 “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing… ”
The glorious Good News of Christ Jesus is hidden behind a veil of unbelief to those without Christ as their Savior.
Where does unbelief in the living God end? In death – eternal separation from God.
What is the responsibility of the followers of Christ? We are to pray for those without Christ in their lives and share the Good News of Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Where does belief in the living God end? In life – eternal life in the presence of God.
Who keeps the veil of unbelief over the eyes and hearts and minds of those without Jesus? It is Satan, the god of this world.
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:4 “in whose case the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
What are my beliefs about the living God? The words I say, good or bad; reveal what I believe in God Himself.
Is the gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, veiled or unveiled in my mind and life?
~ Take it to heart ~
Blindness to the Good News of Jesus Christ leads to eternal separation from the living God.
Spiritual sight sees “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
Spiritual sight leads to having Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. I will be eternally in the presence of God when I physically die, even if it were today.
The question I must ask myself in God’s presence – is His Gospel veiled or unveiled to me?
