Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Yesterday was the beginning of 2017. Did you celebrate? Did you praise the living God of the Bible?
Beginning a New Year is always an opportunity/challenge to do things ‘differently’ but usually we don’t.
This year, each day, you are being challenged to:
1 – Praise God
2 – Thank God
3 – Ask God for His will!
4 – Read God’s word
5 – Take action by doing what God says to do.
Prayerfully, carefully read and listen to God’s word to you.
A good beginning for 2017: ~ Psalm 1 ~
Wisdom for the followers of Christ:
1 “How blessed is the man (your name) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his (your name) delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he (your name) meditates day and night.
3 He (your name) will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he (your name) does, he (your name) prospers.”Warning for those who do not know Christ:
4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.”
~ Take it to heart ~
May this day be a new beginning for me to follow Christ more closely and not from a distance.
Jesus says “Follow Me.”
(NASB) John 8:12 “… ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.’”
