(NASB) 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
16 to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life.  And who is adequate for these things?
17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.”

Using verses 14 through 16, followers of Christ, we are accountable to the living God to tell others of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Our lives are to be an aroma, a sweet aroma, as we speak of Christ Jesus.  Our actions reveal our belief in Christ and our words are to do the same.

Using the end of verse 16, are we adequate to share Jesus with others?  Are we able to do such a ministry?  Yes, we are!

Now using verse 17, we are not to be peddlers, people who are trying to make a little money here and there by telling others of our Savior.  That is demeaning to God’s divine message of salvation through His only begotten Son.  “17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.”

We have a great message, a life giving message of faith in Christ Jesus.  We are accountable to God as we speak of Christ.

I am a fragrance, a sweet aroma of Christ among those who deny, refuse and/or reject Jesus as their Savior.  They are perishing, dying without Christ in their lives and hearts.

~ Take it to heart ~

I am to be faithful in being accountable to God – today!  I am to continue to be a sweet aroma to others with whom I have contact.  I am to share with others the good news found only in Jesus as Savior and coming King.

This is our message!
(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
