Our first intentions to bless others are often changed by God.  That does not mean we are being “wishy-washy,” vacillating, turning one way and then another on a whim.  Maturity as a follower of Christ is to follow Him.  Ready to go where He leads.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:18 “But as God is faithful, our word to you is not yes and no.”

God’s word is always faithful to us.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:19 “For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us – by me and Silvanus (Silas) and Timothy – was not yes and no, but is yes in Him.”

The Son of God, Christ Jesus, is the message that is of first importance – it is always “yes” in Him.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:20 “For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.”

God’s many promises are always “yes” in His Son.

~ Take it to heart ~

When first intentions to bless others need to be changed – I need to remember: God is faithful even in changing my direction.

God is faithful – the promises of God in Christ Jesus are “yes!”

Amen, so be it, even in changing my first intentions to bless others!  My God is faithful!
