Afflictions come that burden us beyond our strength.  Afflictions keep us under pressure.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:8 “For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life;”

Where do we turn in such times of great pressure?  We turn to God Who gives us His strength.

Cries for God’s intervention!
(NIV) Psalm 28:6-7 “Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.”

Never forget!
(NASB) Psalm 37:39 “The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
He is their strength in time of trouble.”

The strength of God is greater than our need.

~ Take it to heart ~

It is the living God, the All-powerful God, Who strengthens me in my seemingly impossible situation.

Remember upon Whom I hope when under great pressure!
(NASB) Isaiah 40:29 “He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.”
