God’s word says to “Bless the Lord.”

Blessing the Lord is not dependent on our circumstances or about the invading enemy of depression or our unsettled future; we are to bless the Lord.

(NASB) Psalm 33:18-21 “Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
19 To deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.”

And as a result of who God is and what He does I am to…
(NASB) Psalm 103:1 “BLESS THE Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”

What else can I know from reading God’s word to me?
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.”

I am to bless the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Why?  Because He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort!

(NASB) Psalm 104:1 “BLESS THE Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great;
You are clothed with splendor and majesty.”

The Lord God tells me to bless Him with my mind, emotions and will.
(NASB) Psalm 103:1 “BLESS THE Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.”
