The living God taught His people His awesomeness, His holiness, His being God.
He revealed Himself to Moses as the “I AM WHO I AM” when He called Moses to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
(Exodus 3:1-6, 14)

The living God used prophets, kings, circumstances, rituals and sacrifices to reveal Himself to His people.  He had it written in the Old Testament (the Torah, the Prophets and the Psalms) and in the New Testament.

(NASB) 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

God sent His only begotten Son to reveal Himself.  God is knowable…He reveals Himself through His creation, through His written words and through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

God makes Himself known.  Does anyone know all that can be known about the living God?  No, but we can know the essentials, the life-giving facts.

Take it to heart ~

God makes Himself known to you!  By His mercies you can come to Him, you can yield your life to Him as a sacrifice by not doing your ‘own thing’ but submitting yourself to the living God.

  Amazing truth: God finds this kind of sacrifice acceptable.  He accepts your worship of Him by your faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus.

(NASB) Romans 12:1 “THEREFORE I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”

Do you know the living God of the Bible?
He is knowable!
