Moses, the great Law-giver of Israel approached the Almighty, majestic, awesome God with fear and trembling.  God demands respect, reverent fear and worship.

We are to recognize God – God is knowable – He reveals Himself.

The Israelites were led out of Egyptian slavery by Moses.
They walked to Mount Horeb and there God revealed Himself; His might, His majesty and in His presence – holiness.  (Exodus 19:1-25)

(NASB) Hebrews 12:18-21 “For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind,
19 and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which sound was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them.
20 For they could not bear the command, ‘If even a beast touches the mountain, it will be stoned.’
21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, ‘I am full of fear and trembling.’”

Take it to heart ~

Remember: you are to give the living God of the Holy Bible reverential, worshipful fear.

He is God!

He alone is God!

There is none other!

He is the holy God.

He is not a God which can be manipulated, “played with,” ignored or disbelieved.
We are to teach our children of God’s awesomeness, His holiness and that He is God.

(NASB) Deuteronomy 4:10-11 “Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when the Lord said to me (Moses), ‘Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’”
