(NASB) Hebrews 11:33, 34 “…who by faith…” 34 “…from weakness were made strong…”

 All men and women are weak – all!  No matter their political power, their acclaim of wisdom, their great wealth, their physical abilities or attributes, their many degrees earned – all women and men are weak compared to the Almighty, living God of the Holy Bible.

The Lord’s declaration
(NASB) Jeremiah 9:23-24 “Thus says the Lord, ‘Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;
24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,’ declares the Lord.”

What God has chosen
(ESV) 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 “For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.  27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.”

Live by faith ~ in the Lord Jesus Christ and boast in Him.
Believe God and His words ~ and boast in the Lord your God.
Know that God chose you, no matter your station in life ~ therefore boast in the Lord.

God does not choose people because of their abilities – He chooses people who will boast in His strength for them, in His power at work through them and His wisdom guiding them.  Are you such a one who boasts in the living God?

Take it to heart ~

To boast in the Lord is to say, “Look!  See what the Lord has done for me!  Notice what He is doing in my life and what He will do for me in the days ahead.”

(NASB) 1 Corinthians 1:31 “…just as it is written, ‘Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Are you giving credit to the living God this moment or boasting in yourself?
