A child is warned to not dart out into the street, yet may do so with dire consequences.  We are warned to listen to the living God and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and if we do not listen to the warning…there will be dire consequences.

Many times, people shut off their hearing and their thinking to such warnings.  Please, continue to listen to God’s warning to you…He loves you!  That is why He warns you and me and gives us the solution.   The bottom line is our need to be saved from our sins and saved from His wrath.

God is All-powerful – Omnipotent
God is Merciful and ever present – Omnipresent
God is Just and knows our need – Omniscient

God is All-powerful – Omnipotent
God’s power has provided deliverance (redemption) through Jesus’ death.
God’s power raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
God’s power raised Jesus into heaven.
God’s authoritative power seated Jesus at His right hand.

(NASB) Ephesians 1:19-21 “and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.  These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”

God is Merciful and ever present – Omnipresent
God’s mercy and grace saves anyone from His wrath for sins.
God did this through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross for you and me.

(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

God is Just and knows our need – Omniscient
God is just – He never overlooks your sins or mine.  We need Jesus to shield us, to cover us for we are sinners.

Followers of Christ can shout Hallelujah!  We are saved through faith in Jesus.  We are saved by His work on the cross, saved by His grace – alone!  God, the living God of the Bible loves you and me that much!  He knows our true need!  Our need is Jesus Christ as our Savior.

God is just and He warns us – are we listening?  And just as important are we responding to His warning?  (Hebrews 10:26-31)

Tomorrow’s devotional will deal with this question.
