When you read God’s word…do you believe what He is saying to you?  Even when you may be uncomfortable?  If you are uncomfortable…there needs to be a change in your thinking and actions and belief.

To enter the rest God has for you, you must respond by obedience to Him and His words.  For His words are truth!

Obedience is faith in what God says is true.
Obedience is believing God.
Obedience is proving your faith in God and His words to you.

All who have faith in Jesus are united…by faith in Him.

Obedience by faith in Jesus is first and foremost if you are to enter God’s rest.

When you hear God’s message (through His words in, and from, the Holy Bible) it must be combined with faith in Him.

The Israelites in the Old Testament heard the great good news of their deliverance from slavery, what did they do?

They rejected faith in God Who led them out of slavery.
They refused to enter the Promised Land.
They did not trust God and His power, His wisdom and His goodness.
They flat out disobeyed God.
(Paraphrase of the Amplified Bible Hebrews 4:2)

What are you choosing?  Obedience to God and His words to you?  Or are you disobedient by not believing God?

Obedience will prove your faith in the living God.

You and I are to act upon God’s words…
we are united by faith in Jesus!
(Hebrews 4:1-2)

Obedience is faith in the living God

(NASB) Hebrews 4:3 “For we who have believed enter that rest…”
