What if…your life is suddenly turned up-side down and inside out?  Upon what is your hope based?  If it is based on your strengths or on your abilities…is that enough?  If it is based on your ideologies, is that enough?  If your hope is based on other people or on your countries leadership, is that enough?

Where is your hope placed?  No matter what, where is your hope placed?  A prophet with the strange name of Habakkuk said the following when he knew that bad things, really bad things, were coming for his people and his nation.  His hope was in the living God.

(NASB) Habakkuk 3:17-19 “Though the fig tree should not blossom
And there be no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive should fail
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be no cattle in the stalls,
18 Yet I will exult in the Lord,
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength…”

Is the living Lord God your strength this moment?

What else does God want you to know?
In the beginning, the Lord God created the heavens and the earth.  He tells us that one day, the earth will perish, it will become old like a piece of clothing and it will be changed.  But the living God of the Holy Bible will not change; He will not perish or disappear.  He is the eternal God.  (Hebrews 1:10-12)

God is eternal.  He will endure – forever and ever.  He is unchangeable…what a blessing for the followers of Christ…we have a living hope and His name is Jesus, the eternal God.

(NASB) Psalm 102:25-27 “Of old You founded the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 Even they will perish, but You endure;
And all of them, will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
27 But You are the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.”

Jesus – The Eternal God
All followers of Christ have an eternal Savior…
His name is Jesus.
