Jesus ~ “Son of God”, “Heir of all things,” “through Him the world was made.”
Jesus ~ “…the radiance of His glory”, “the exact representation of His nature.”
Jesus ~ “upholds all things by the word of His power.”

Jesus ~ His power upholds all things by His word…alone.
Jesus ~ His power is beyond our imagination.  He was there at creation…

(NASB) John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”
(NASB) Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
(NASB) Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.”

The Word of God’s power created everything from nothing!  Think of that!  Ex nihilo – from nothing!

Followers of Christ
Our awesome, All-powerful God spoke and it came into being.

Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26 – God spoke and…light was created; waters were separated; vegetation was created; sun, moon, stars, time was created; all water creatures and creatures of the air – all created; all animals on land – and a man and a woman – all were created and made by the living, Triune God.
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit…all were involved.  Three Persons – yet, One God.  Our amazing living God spoke and by His word of power…all things were created!

Power – men and women strive for power, many will do anything to have control of nations or companies or religious entities.  Clambering to get to a position of leveraged power is all important…sadly, the life goal of many.

Followers of Christ – as chaotic events come into our lives, let us remember that our Savior and Lord has more power than all of the powers of nations combined.  His power is contained in His word…His word of power.

This God is the living God all believers worship.

Let us step into this day with confidence because God our Savior “upholds all things by the word of His power.”
