God…has spoken to us in His Son…
(NASB) Hebrews 1:1-2 “GOD, AFTER He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.”
God – long ago – there is history of God speaking to God-fearing people.
God – gave His thoughts, His words so the prophets would speak and write them.
God – God was, and is, He is not silent – He speaks in many portions.
Consider the Law and the Prophets, the Old Testament. God speaks through the written words of Moses, the history of Israel and all the prophets…all are God’s words.
God – has spoken to us.
God – illustrates, teaches, inspires men and women to know Him – God communicates with people…today.
God – is knowable.
God – tells us of His Son. He appointed His only begotten Son, Jesus as His heir. All things are given to Jesus.
God – made the world through Jesus.
All Scripture points to God’s heir, His name is Jesus the Christ (Messiah).
God’s care and concern is for you to listen and respond to Him by faith in His Son, to live by faith that His words are true. For God cannot lie, otherwise, He would not be God.
God’s word is unchanging. God’s word does not contradict what He says – throughout the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, God’s word is the same.
When God speaks – are you listening?
When God speaks – how do you respond?
God – His love expressed for you in human flesh – the Son of God, the Son of Man, Jesus Christ.
Immanuel – God with us.
God – is speaking to you.
He is inviting you to live by faith in His Son…
