Paul was under house arrest in Rome.  Chained to a soldier 24/7.  He could have visitors.  He took advantage of the freedoms he did have.  He called the leading Jews to come and hear what he had to say.  They decided to invite many more to hear Paul.  A day was set and large numbers came.  (Acts 28:16, 17-22, 23)

Paul used the opportunities given to him, even though he was a prisoner.
What opportunities are given to you where Jesus Christ, God’s Son and your Savior can be presented?

What did Paul say to that large number of Jewish Romans?
(NASB) Acts 28:23 “…he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.”

Paul testified to God’s words of truth and so can you!  Paul used Scripture to prove the validity and authenticity of Jesus.  Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies the first time He came from heaven to earth…beginning with when He came as a baby born of a virgin.

What do you need to do so you also can tell others Jesus Christ fulfilled prophecy?

Study God’s words.  If your Bible has a concordance look there for other Scriptures that correlate to a key word in the verse you are reading.  Perhaps your Bible has tiny letters or numbers beside various words: a side bar or the middle of the page or at the bottom of the page you will find other verses that will help to explain what you are reading.

Paul set a time to speak too many of Jesus Christ.  He testified about the kingdom of God, according to Scriptures.  He used persuasive speech, reasoning and logic when he referred to the Law of Moses and the Prophets.  He spent all day speaking to this large gathering.  Remember: as long as you have an interested audience, don’t cut it short.  Or if the audience isn’t “with  you,” cut off your talk.

What happened at the end of that day?
(NASB) Acts 28:24 “Some were being persuaded by the things spoken, but others would not believe.”

Paul was not responsible for how people responded to his testimony and neither are you.
There will always be people who hear God’s truths and turn away.  They reject God and His words, they reject His Anointed One, Jesus Christ.

What are we to do?  Pray.  Pray for all – to have open hearts and minds to receive God’s words.

Use your opportunities to Testify to God’s Words of Truth for that is your testimony.
