(NASB) Romans 12:1-2 “THEREFORE I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you many prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Paul wrote a letter to the believers in Rome.  The above verses are taken from that letter.  Paul had a vast knowledge and understanding of Scriptures.  He practiced what God’s words said.  Daily he applied God’s words to his life and he gave us insights into worshiping the living God through this letter.

Spiritual Worship is…
By the mercies of God anyone can approach Him, to worship Him.

By yielding to the living God – we worship Him.

By our act of worship we are setting apart our lives as a holy sacrifice.  (This sacrifice is a living sacrifice.)

Consciously worshiping God is to yield to Him…this sacrifice is acceptable to Him.

Spiritual Worship leads to…
Knowing our lives are no longer conforming to this world.

Knowing our lives are being transformed because our minds are being renewed – new goals, new attitudes, new actions and responses.

Our transformed lives prove what the will of God is…

His will is good…

His will is acceptable…

His will is perfect…

To begin each day, yield to the living God through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  To begin each day is to put His words into practice in our relationship with Him and our relationships with others.

A paraphrase of several verses in Romans 12
12:3 – don’t look down on others as if you were better.

12:9 – love without being a hypocrite and abhor what is evil.

12:10 – be devoted to other believers and give others the lime-light.

12:11 – be zealous for the things of God as you serve Him.

12:12 – rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction and tribulation, be faithful to pray.

12:13 – share with God’s people who are in need and practice hospitality.

12:14 – bless anyone who is unkind toward you.

Daily read and do Romans 12, for it is a wealth of information about how we are to respond in day to day relationships.

Our day is to begin with spiritual worship of the living God.
