The prayer of the week is based on James 3:17

Thank You Lord God of the Bible for Your wisdom which is available to me today.

Godly wisdom is from You.
I can measure my thoughts and actions against Your wisdom.

Do I have pure motives?  Are my actions peaceable?  Am I gentle in my replies?  Am I always reasonable?  Do I extend mercy as You extend Your mercy to me?

Do my actions and words result in good fruits?  Am I unwavering in my commitment to You and to others?  Do I “make nice” with others, then think or say just the opposite out of their hearing?

For any one of the above, where I am willful, please forgive me.

Lord, help me today to put Your wisdom into practice.
I ask this in the name of my Savior, Jesus.  Amen.
