Paul traveled from city to city, telling of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  He went first to the synagogue located in that city to tell his fellow Jews of the fulfilled promise of Messiah.  Some believed…many resisted, rejected and threatened Paul.  When that happened, Paul then turned to the Gentiles to tell them of the Good News of Jesus Christ.  That same pattern was repeated in Corinth.

(NASB) Acts 18:5-6 “But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began devoting himself completely to the word, solemnly testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
6 But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his garments and said to them, ‘Your blood be on your own heads!  I am clean.  From now on I will go to the Gentiles.’”

What did Jesus command His disciples (this includes all of His followers)?
(NASB) Matthew 10:14-15 “Whoever does not receive you, or heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
15 ‘Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.”

Paul turned to the Gentiles in Corinth.  Why, because of the Jewish resistance and unbelief in Jesus Christ.
Each person who hears God’s words has a choice.  To accept or reject what Jesus has done for them.  It becomes their responsibility before the living God.

Followers of Christ, our responsibility is to tell others about Jesus:
(NIV) Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

When you have told another of Jesus Christ – you have obeyed the command of Jesus:
(NASB) Acts 1:8 “…you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

You and I have a personal responsibility before the living God of the Holy Bible.  We are held accountable to tell others of Jesus, let’s be careful how we do that!  Love for our God and love for others…will determine how we tell others of Jesus Christ.
