The prayer of the week is based on Acts 1:8

  Lord God of the Bible…Your Son, Jesus, told His followers that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit would come upon them.  Jesus also said that those who were filled with the Holy Spirit would be witnesses of Him in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria…even to the remotest parts of the world.

  Today, help each one of us reading this prayer be Your witnesses in our part of the world.  Whether that is on the continent of Africa, Europe, Asia, the Americas, Australia…wherever we are as we read this…please fill us with the power of Your Holy Spirit to be witnesses of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

  In the majestic name of Jesus I pray…amen.
