The prayer of the week is based on Acts 1:11

  You are the Promise-making and Promise-keeping God.  When Your Son ascended into heaven, You promised His eleven apostles that He would return “in just the same way as” they watched Him go into Your presence in heaven.

  They did not see Him return to earth…nor have we.  Yet, we have been given Your promise and You will fulfill Your word.  I need never doubt Your trustworthiness in keeping Your promises.  Jesus is coming again!

  Help each one of us reading this prayer to know that we can trust You to keep Your words.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.
